Camden Town Hall Protest – Monday 28th February

On Monday evening Camden borough councillors will meet to agree a budget for the coming year. In response local government trade unionists, voluntary sector workers, council tenants and service users will assemble from 5.30PM in Eversholt Street, NW1 before proceeding to a mass lobby outside Camden Town Hall, WC1.

The Council’s Cabinet has approved proposals that would mean £82.5m in cuts over three years, cutting 1,000 full-time equivalent jobs and axing libraries, play schemes and day resource centres for vulnerable older people.

Activists from the Anti-Cut Space London will be leafleting to increase attendance for this march and for the later protest outside the town hall itself in local workplaces, public spaces, schools and university campuses. We will later be joining the main protest.

Solidarity.
